Statutory Legal Warranty of Conformity

All products sold to Customers acting as consumers are covered by the Statutory Legal Warranty of Conformity provided for by Articles 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code. The Seller is liable, free of charge, for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery that manifests itself within two years from that date. Under the conditions provided by law, the Consumer is entitled to have the goods brought into conformity by repair or replacement, free of charge, or, in the cases provided, to an appropriate reduction of the price or termination of the contract (pursuant to Articles 133, 135-bis et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code).

For products purchased from dealers, the legal warranty must be claimed against the specific dealer from whom the purchase was made.

The Extrema Ratio Commercial Warranty described below is in addition to, and does not affect in any way, the remedies recognized to the Consumer by law free of charge (pursuant to Article 135-quinquies of the Italian Consumer Code).

Extrema Ratio Commercial Warranty

All Extrema Ratio knives are covered by a lifetime commercial warranty. Sheaths are covered by a 2-year commercial warranty from the date of the original purchase.

The lifetime warranty covers the product for its entire useful life and follows the product, for the benefit of its owner from time to time, including in the case of second-hand purchases; to activate it, it is necessary to retain and present the proof of purchase or payment indicating the date of the original purchase. For sheaths, the remaining portion of the two-year coverage, running from the date of the original purchase, is transferred with the product.

The commercial warranty covers defects in workmanship, treatments, or materials that compromise the functionality of the product. In such cases, we will intervene, where possible, by restoring the item through repair; should it not be possible to restore the product, we will proceed with a replacement with a brand-new item. If, however, the issue is found not to be covered by the warranty, a quotation for the repair will be provided.

To request warranty service, simply follow the procedure indicated in the Returns and Repairs section by writing to [email protected] and awaiting the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

The guarantor is Extrema Ratio S.r.l., with registered office at Via Traversa delle Ripalte 72/74/76/78, 59100 Prato (PO), VAT No. 02481870976. Shipping costs for sending the product to Extrema Ratio for interventions under the commercial warranty shall be borne by the Customer; the return shipping of the repaired or replaced product shall be borne by Extrema Ratio. Interventions due to a lack of conformity covered by the statutory legal warranty shall remain entirely free of charge, including shipping costs.

The commercial warranty does not cover:

• damage resulting from normal wear and tear
• oxidation due to insufficient maintenance
• damage caused by misuse, modifications, and/or alterations that change the factory characteristics of the product

Please Note: Repair and/or modification interventions not performed by Extrema Ratio (including repairs, disassembly, modifications, or out-of-specification resharpening) shall result in the voiding of the commercial warranty. Within the limits of the law, rights arising from the statutory legal warranty of conformity shall remain unaffected for defects not attributable to such interventions.

WARNING: PRODUCT AUTHENTICITY

The commercial warranty is not applicable to products purchased through channels that do not allow for the definitive verification of their source and authenticity. For original products purchased from third parties, statutory legal warranties against the respective seller shall remain unaffected in any event. To avoid the risk of counterfeits and forgeries, we strongly recommend purchasing exclusively from authorized dealers or through our official channels.

If a non-original product is received, Extrema Ratio reserves the right to suspend the return of the item, report the incident to the competent authorities, and comply with their determinations, with the exclusion of any form of warranty or assistance on the product.
