It is a tangible history, built in the field, which has given life to tools that have become industry benchmarks: RAO, RAO II, Herring, RAO C, and RAO STEEL. Tools designed for a purpose, destined to become landmarks. From this heritage comes R2AO, a project that does not merely recall the past but crystallizes it into a new, essential, and definitive form.
While RAO represented the origin of this journey, its evolution led to the creation of tools varying in function and configuration, including the Herring dagger. It is precisely from this lineage that R2AO takes shape.
This project, while rooted in the history of RAO, finds its most direct expression in the dagger, reinterpreting that experience through a different configuration that remains consistent with the same design philosophy.
Every line, every surface, every engraving is the result of a conscious process where nothing is left to chance. Material is crafted to express precision and identity, while light flows over the surfaces, revealing details meant for those who know where to look.
The dagger, crafted with innovative materials and advanced workmanship, was conceived as the complete expression of the project: both a tool and a physical testimony to a twenty-year journey.
Alongside the dagger stands a second element, central to the project vision: a timepiece selected for its identity and significance.
The Tudor Pelagos LHD – a professional watch with a clear military DNA – was chosen for its consistency with the project and its link to real-world use, where precision, readability, and reliability are not optional features, but fundamental requirements.
For this occasion, the timepiece has been customized, becoming an integral part of the R2AO project: not a paired object, but an element that shares its language, function, and identity. Two different instruments fused into a single vision.
Production is limited to a very few pieces – not for the sake of exclusivity, but out of respect for the project and what it represents.
